Our shipping materials are also either compostable, recyclable or biodegradable, including any packing tape or product protection. To seal the box we use the shipping label. If it arrived in plastic, it did not come from us!
This took some getting use to, but after a few days I really like using it as a make remover.

When I'm I received the Solid Oil Cleanser, I thought the texture wasn't going to work for me. However after using it for a few weeks, I absolutely love enjoy this product.
I apply it directly to my face as it doesn't lather and it's easier for me to know where I applied. The bonus is the shape of it also gives me a nice massage.
I am very happy with the scents, the shape and the effectiveness of the bar. Since using it, I haven't had to use my normal cleansing grains. My skin feels refreshed and moisturized. I used it in both dry and humid environments and it worked well it both. I'm really glad to have tried this product.

I was excited to try something new from HiBAR because I love their shampoos and conditioners, and the solid oil cleanser did not disappoint! It leaves skin feeling so soft and smooth.
It requires quite a bit of massaging/rinsing to remove the excess oil after application, but it does a great job cleaning your skin. I am still not sure if I should be using a second cleanser afterward (as it sometimes still feels too oily) or if I should just skip moisturizing afterward, but I think it is a GREAT product once you find how to best work it into your routine.
Thank you for the great review, Lindsay! We're happy you were able to give the new Oil Cleanser bar a try. Many use an oil cleanser in a two step cleansing process, using this product to remove make up and following up with our cleanse or hydrate face wash for a lathering deep clean. You could also try using less product, and see if that helps with the oiliness. After double cleansing - first with the Oil Cleanser, second with the Face Wash, I would still recommend using a moisturizer to lock in moisture and keep your skin feeling hydrated afterwards. The shape of the bar makes it very quick and easy to use. It has a refreshing scent. I received a sample to test but I will be adding this to my hibar shampoo and conditioner subscription.

If you’ve ever used an oil cleanser, you know that a little goes a long way. Our bar lasts at least as long as a big 6 oz bottle of liquid oil cleanser. Some have found that it lasts twice as long.
In developing this natural Oil Cleanser bar, we studied high end oil cleansers on the market, meant for a bottle, meant to be a liquid, and worked with it for over a year to make it a solid bar.
No, It does not contain any fragrance defined as an ingredient added for the sole purpose of scent. We use Blue Tansy oil and Cucumber extract as ingredients to enhance the performance of the bar. It has a light smell of blue tansy and cucumber. And the Blue Tansy is what gives the bar a light blue color. Based on our studies we discovered that most users do not want a fragrance in their face washes.
The pH is between 4.5 and 5.5, matching your skin's pH level.

Our plastic free deodorant container is made from cardboard and is curbside compostable. They do compost and can be done at home, just like regular compost. But, if you are using the compost dirt to grow food, it’s probably best to use compost material like food scraps and other food grade, food by product material. You can compost our packaging to turn it back to the earth and use it as a filler somewhere.
